The Trail Runner Free 2 Hybrid is a comfortable, lightweight headlamp for all running enthusiasts. Its features and beam are optimized for the needs of runners. The Free 2 Hybrid includes a rechargeable hybrid battery (1.25 Ah/4.6 Wh) and the Hybrid Battery Case.

All Trail Runner Free headlamps have the power cable integrated into the headband. We call it Free technology: a comfortable headlamp experience with no distracting wires or tangled cables. No fuss - just release the power.

The Hybrid Battery Case can take either the included Silva Rechargeable Hybrid Battery or 3 AAA batteries (not included). This means you can use AAA batteries as a backup if you run out of power in the rechargeable. The case has easy-grip surfaces and has a built-in red safety taillight, adding extra visibility. The Trail Runner Free 2 Hybrid comes with the 1.25 Ah (4.6 Wh) Rechargeable Hybrid Battery Pack, designed for use with the Hybrid Battery Case. This compact battery is the perfect choice if you want to go really light. The battery has an integrated battery indicator and can be charged anywhere, using the included USB cable.

With the 2nd generation of the Trail Runner Free, cooling has been optimized with a more powerful cooler that allows the lamp to produce up to 550 lumens (depending on battery type) while maintaining its comfort and low weight. Our ultrarunners have been a major part of the design process and the Trail Runner Free 2 series is made for running in every aspect. All three headlamps in this series feature Silva Intelligent Light. This means you get dual beam technology in your headlamp, with light settings that are perfect for running. Our unique combination of a long-range spotlight and a near-flood spotlight results in less head movement, better control, better balance, less fatigue and increased speed.

Despite the attention we put into technological advancements, we haven't forgotten the importance of weight optimization. Every part of this headlamp has been compressed and the headlamp unit only weighs 61 grams (without batteries). The headlamp is perfectly balanced, with smooth adjustments and a flat, soft textile extension cable that doesn't tangle. The headband is soft, but firm enough, with a silicone bead inside to keep it in place. The battery can be comfortably carried on the headband or kept warm in your pocket to save battery life using the included textile extension cable.
