The Ortles AM W JKT is a lightweight and breathable softshell hybrid jacket designed for ski touring and alpine mountaineering. Its name comes from the highest mountain in the Eastern Alps outside the Bernina range.
Constructed from a thermal hybrid merino/polywool fabric, this jacket offers warmth, quick drying and a comfortable next-to-skin feel. The bodymapped design provides targeted levels of insulation in different parts of the body for optimal performance.
It incorporates extra elastane for 4-way mechanical stretch comfort. In addition, the ergonomic design of the sleeves and shoulders facilitates freedom of movement. The shoulders and sleeves are reinforced with Polarlite Wool Cordura for added resistance to tears, scratches and abrasions.
A soft inner collar provides added comfort, while elastic cuffs with thumb loops offer additional coverage in cold conditions. Two exterior zippered pockets complete the features.
