The Edelrid Rap Line Protect Pro Dry 6mm x40m is an innovative auxiliary rope with a dynamic reserve, designed for mountaineers and cavers looking for lightness and safety. Made from a polyamide, polyester and aramid material, this 6mm rope is exceptionally light, ideal for minimising weight on ascents.

Its robust construction withstands two factor 2 drops (based on the dynamic twin rope test), demonstrating its dynamic elongation capability under tension. Although it is dynamic, it maintains enough staticity for abseiling and lifting material.

The Pro Dry treatment protects it from water and dirt, increasing its durability and performance in adverse conditions. Importantly, the Rap Line Protect Pro Dry is not certified as a twin rope and should not be used for dynamic sport climbing. Its main use is as an auxiliary rope in alpine and technical climbing, for rappelling, lifting equipment and belaying a second.
