The Petzl Jane-I is a non-adjustable lanyard with dynamic rope , which allows mounting, with an energy absorber, a simple lanyard with absorber of energy.
It can be used to make a temporary anchor (EN 795 / B).
The plastic sheath keeps the carabiner in position and makes it easier to clip, while protecting the terminal from abrasion.
