You can carry it on your shoulder, in your hand or on your back. The main compartment has a computer pocket with a padded base and a small zipper pocket. The entire bag can be folded into its front pocket when not in use.
The outer fabric is water resistant, but not the zippers or seams, so the bag can withstand getting wet but not submerged.
