The Lightning 45 is a lightweight and refined backpack for any multi-day trekking adventure where minimal weight and functionality are essential.
The functional roll-top closure allows not only quick access but also expansion of the main compartment. The stretch fabric side pockets can be used to store items such as water bottles as well as trekking poles or tent poles. Zippered hipbelt pockets at the top of the pack provide even more quick-access storage.
Zig-zag side compression straps and a cross-pack webbing strap with quick-release buckles keep gear like mats or a flysheet securely in place. Those who use Lightning for mountaineering place ice tools in the designated loops and in the central daisy chain.
The fully adjustable suspension system with minimal contact points and aluminum brace is adjustable in length and can be easily configured to fit the length of your back. A padded hip belt provides greater carrying comfort. The extremely light material is water-repellent and PFC-free.
