The Screw Lock Revolver is the carabiner many people have been waiting for and now it's available.
DMM has taken a step forward and created this new carabiner using a new perspective. The Revolver was born from the fight against the main problems of weight and rope friction. Thanks to the pulley incorporated in the rope support area, effort and friction are significantly reduced, since the friction produced by the weight and length of the rope used is drastically reduced. In this way they make it ideal for use in traction rescue or security systems.
Advantages: Reduces rope friction and is approved as a carabiner EN 12275, UIAA 121 and as a pulley EN 12278, UIAA 127, making it a lighter alternative to the classic combination of carabiner + pulley. Disadvantage: The size of the pulley can only accommodate one rope so it will only work effectively when used with a single rope.
It is a very light carabiner, it only weighs 64 gr.
