ALPINE UP is the most complete and versatile belayer/descender ever produced, suitable for mountain use with double ropes, twin ropes or single rope. Extremely versatile, it allows descent on a double rope with a self-locking function and offers three belay modes, depending on the terrain we are on.
The click-up mode (manual assisted braking) allows: Securing the leader of the team for sports routes of various lengths (equipped with fixed and chemical anchors); Self-locking rappel with use of the folding lever; Maximum safety even in the case of incorrect insertion of the rope.
The dynamic mode (manual braking) allows: Belaying the lead on alpine routes and ice climbing (friends type anchors, studs and nails); Effective and adjustable braking with V-braking grooves, like with a basket; Rappelling with V braking grooves.
The guide mode, ensuring rope seconds, allows: Independent and self-locking security for one or two seconds; Possibility of unlocking and progressive lowering of one second under tension, thanks to the insertion of a quickdraw carabiner in the appropriate hole.
Attention! Always read the equipment instructions carefully before use. ALPINE UP is provided and must be used with the special CONCEPT SGL HC carabiner, with anti-wear anodizing and ACL system that prevents the possibility of loading on the minor axis.
