The Puput Straight carabiner is perfect for climbing, making it easy to carabine the plate thanks to its distinctive nose. Its large size provides comfortable manoeuvrability, while the wide friction area increases the life of both the rope and the carabiner.
Designed for intensive use on the wall, the Puput Straight is inspired by the bird Upupa epops, which also has a characteristic nose. This design allows for fluid and precise carabining.
Characteristics:
- Conical nose: Facilitates precise and smooth insertion into plates, tapes, and other connecting elements. Simplifies track disassembly.
- Lower smoothing: The bottom of the nose is softened to make it easier to disengage the plate and rope.
- Keylock: Avoid snagging on the rope or plate.
- Versatile size: 100 mm high and 64 mm wide, with an opening range of 24 mm, offers great maneuverability.
- Aluminum 7075: Resistant and durable material.
- Large contact area: 10.5 mm wide to work the rope in a larger radius, prolonging its life and that of the carabiner.
- Resistance: 22 kN vertical, 8 kN horizontal, and 8 kN vertical with the trigger open (EN 12275).
