The Air Force One is a versatile, lightweight belay/rappel device that is compatible with single ropes of any diameter, from 8.5 mm to 10.5 mm. Its innovative design meets the needs of both beginner climbers using classic ropes and experienced climbers who prefer thinner ropes.
The V-groove provides additional friction that improves rope braking during belaying, while offering optimal energy absorption in the event of a fall. Despite this increased friction, the Air Force One provides smooth, easy spooling.
Additionally, the wide, straight groove makes it easier for the rope to pass through, preventing it from snagging or fraying.
