Static rope with integrated cut resistance from the Edelrid brand. This means that high-strength aramid fibers are integrated into the rope sheath during the braiding process.
As a result, INTERSTATIC PROTECT has almost twice the cut resistance compared to a static rope with a comparable ratio and cover diameter. In a special braiding process, high-strength aramid fibers are braided into the rope sheath. Compared to polyester or polyamide, aramid has significantly higher cut resistance. The result is a static cable with almost twice the cut resistance of cables with comparable content and jacket diameter.
This combination guarantees high breaking values, minimal shrinkage and low elongation behavior under load. At the same time, thanks to the Thermo Shield treatment, the rope remains pleasantly soft to the touch, making it easy to use with all rescue and rappelling equipment.
These characteristics, together with its low elongation values, make INTERSTATIC PROTECT 11 the first choice for all applications when the cable is exposed to sharp edges or when a margin of safety is desired additional.
